- Sacred to the memory of DR WILLIAM ROSS formerly a surgeon in the royal
navy & for many years residing in this town who died at Dollar June 20th
1865 aged 82 years. Talented and skilled in his profession. Upright and
honourable in his dealings. Courteous and unbtrusive in his manners. He was
much esteemed and respected by all who knew him; Also in memory of MARGARET
DEWAR his wife who departed this life January 10th 1866 aged 77 years and
daughter MARGARET who died on 29th March 1911 aged 81 years; "Blessed are
the dead which die in the Lord" REV XIV 13.
