Erected by ROBERT HIGGEN, Shipmaster Kincardine in memory of his father ROBERT HIGGEN Wright & Maltster who died 1778 aged 67 years and his first wife CHRISTIAN PATON who died 1744 and their children viz:-
JAMES and ELIZABETH and MAREY LAMB his second wife who died 8th August 1820 aged 89 years and their son DAVID and RACHEL DUNCANSON wife to the above R.H. Shipmaster died 27 May 1812 aged 60 years and their children viz JAMES & MAREY
